Roamin Rome day 1
Anyway we then went into town and walked around a bunch. Our first stop was the Spanish steps! On our way there we stopped for a coffee, and they gave us "American style" coffee which is just a humongous cup. So we drank our American coffee on the Spanish steps in Italy. 3 of my favs all in one! We also met a couple from Dallas, the woman grew up in Arlington and the man went to UTA, such a small world!
We then wandered more and landed at the Trevi Fountain! I did not realize how giant it was! I threw my coin in and made my wish, I meant to look up the stories and tales to see what happens but I totally forgot so I hope I did it all right!
It was also entertaining to see the tourists and how they interact with others. There are some pretty oblivious people out there and they happen to always show up all around me... Anyway we then stopped for pizza and wine. Italy did not disappoint me. The pizza was so incredibly thin and cheesy and the wine was delish as well. I could definitely not stay in Italy too long, i would gain a million pounds for sure.
We then stumbled upon the colessuem and Roman forum, but we are doing all that tomorrow so we tried to ignore it... Not that simple. But we also came across a Palm Sunday processional of over 100 people marching with wooden crosses which was pretty cool to see.
