I felt like compiling a list of all things you must do in Barcelona, for anyone who wants to travel, and for me when I return. First things first, food!
1. Bo de B- amazing sandwiches, burgers and salads and muy barato(cheap)
2. Brunch and cake- even though it's pretty touristy it seriously is amazing. Get the eggs Benedict on waffles.
3. For paella: Salamanca. Kinda pricey but totally worth it. My Spanish teacher even recommended it so you know it's good.
4. Del Greco- technically I haven't been, but I'm going for my birthday dinner and I hear nothing but amazing things which is why we are going.
5. And if you wanna get fancy, the restaurant in the castle on Montjuic is the place to go!
Bars
1. L'ovella negra- also kinda touristy but you can get 5L of beer for 25€ and the atmosphere is super cool.
2. Le Cyrano- for 3€ you can pour your own mixed drink.... Deadly.
3. El Caso Born- this one is owned by my host mom's son so of course I have to list it, it's more of a local experience!
4. Timeline- it's a whole in the wall bar but I love it. They have daily specials that are great as well and in Gracia neighborhood which has tons of cool bars.
Clubs- I'm not a clubber so I didn't frequent them so sorry...
1. Otto Zutz is my favorite, but usually Wednesday is their big night.
2. Razzmatazz- 4 levels of all types of music!
3. DO NOT GO TO THE BEACH CLUBS. They can be fun but you probably will get robbed and groped- a lot.
Shopping!
1. Zara, mango, Bershka and Stradivarius are all similar to forever 21 and h&m and are super popular here. They're good and mainstream.
2. Basanova- super cute and cheap shoes and bags.
3. Pull&bear I like a lot, it's my style, it's also kind of main stream over here but it's not in the states!
4. My favorite thing to do is stop in the tiny boutiques who's name you won't remember, you can find the best stuff there!
And finally, site seeing!
1. Sagrada Familia. You have to see it. Pre order tickets though the lines can long!
2. Parc Guell, La Pedrera, casa batllo- all Gaudi!
3. Picasso museum- it's kind of small, but let's be real it's Picasso... First Sunday of every month is free and all Sundays after 3 it's free- but packed!
4. The cathedral and gothic area- you have to at least walk around here it's super cool!
5. The beach- my favorite place to relax and unwind and drink a box of sangria.
6. The labyrinth is also super cool- it's just a big garden you can hike around.
7. Las Ramblas- I hesitate putting this because there are a million tourists and pick pocketers, but there are cool places and La Boqueria is there.
