Being a tourist
Hola!
It's been a few fun filled days for me! On Wednesday I had a couple more orientation meetings with my program, but I did get to go out and about! For lunch we went to this little International restaurant near the place where our orientation was held. Some of the people I was with could not believe the meals can come with beer or a soda. It's pretty cool if you ask me. I also got super lost trying to find my metro stop on the way home but I stumbled upon Arc de Triomf, which I posted a picture of it on Instagram- I'm still trying to figure out how to get pictures on here- I will figure it out though! So that was pretty cool... Thursday we had a tour of the Gothic area of Barcelona, which was really awesome! Me and my roommate explored the city a little bit more and we got a few drinks in the evening and we went out last night. I guess I should say this morning because people here really don't go out until after midnight. We got home at 3 am and our house mom said we were early.... That'll take some getting used to! But the bar we went to was really cool! From the outside, it's really small and on a tiny side street, but inside its huge! It reminded me of an Irish pub, and you could buy a 5 liter dispenser of beer for 20 euros. I've met some really cool people, but most of them are Americans from my program, I'm still waiting to meet some locals! Today we went on a tour of Gaudi's pieces in Passeig de Gracia. It was amazing! We saw two different buildings, La Perdera and Casa Batllo. I highly suggest seeing them in your life.
Well thats about all I have to say for now. Its time for siesta!
Besos,
Ellen
