I'm Back (Bolivia)
So I recently found my old Instagram I created while traveling, and I've decided to start up the ole blog. It's been a hot minute, and lots of adventures have ensued since. For a wee bit better stuff go to @roamifyouwantto on Insta.
I started writing this blog post back in March 2015, but never finished:
About a month ago I really started to get the urge to travel again, and I knew my stepdad usually goes to Bolivia around this time. I thought what the hell I'm going to ask if I can tag along. I honestly thought my parents would say no, but they were totally okay with it! The only thing is, we fly standby so at any given moment Rick may call me and say we are going to leave tomorrow. Eventually we set a more permanent date, but I still had to scramble and tell me professors and get some vaccines.
So March 4 was the date we decided on. It was the week before my spring break so I would only miss one day of school. The plan was to fly to Miami wednesday night, and leave for Bolivia the next day. Well I was enjoying a wonderful nap when I get a call from Rick that I need to be on a plane in an hour and a half headed to STL. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what? was my only reaction. Dallas was getting hammered with bad weather so I had to get out ASAP if I wanted to make it to Miami. Eventually we made it.
We spent Wednesday night walking the Boardwalk and eating delicious paella on the beach. The next day we walked on the beach and enjoyed the amazing rooftop pool our hotel had. I also got very, very sunburnt....We also did some shopping on Lincoln Road and had some drinks along the way of course.
Then at midnight we flew to Bolivia! When we arrived we had a little hiccup getting me a visa, but then we were on our way. We stayed in the beautiful Hotel - Los Tajibos - and lounged by the pool. We had delicious food and drinks of course.
We went to the Rain Forest Park "La Rinconada" AMAZINGGGGG. check out this pic of the world's largest lilly pads! It was absolutely breath taking.

We then explored the town of Santa Cruz, which was so much fun as well!
It was incredible to see South America, it was completely different than Spain, and nothing like what I expected. I can't wait to go back!
